IC 405: John Bozeman
John Bozeman, has captured the beautiful IC 405, commonly called the Flaming Star Nebula, as well as SH 2-229 and Caldwell 31. This is the constellation Aurigae’s emission/reflection nebula that surrounds AE Aurigae, a blue star. The nebula is estimated to be 1,500 light-years away with a diameter of five light-years. 16x20, HD metal, floating frame.
