Rosette Nebula: Terry Hancock

The Rosette Nebula, Caldwell 49 is located near one end of a giant molecular cloud in the Monoceros region of our Milky Way Galaxy.

NGC2244 is an open cluster, also called Caldwell 50, that contributes to the Rosette’s glow. The cluster’s stars were born from the nebula’s matter.
